Bronc Day is one of the longest-running historical events in Southern Colorado, now in its 87th year. It’s a free day of fun, family adventure held in Green Mountain Falls, just west of Colorado Springs.
Enjoy a one-day, one-of-a-kind Western-themed event with a free pancake breakfast, entertainment, a parade, food, kids’ games, boat races, inflatables, vendors, horses, and a beautiful lake. So put Saturday, July 26th, 2025 on your calendar for a drive on Ute Pass to the beautiful town of Green Mountain Falls.
History

The festival began in 1939 to welcome cowhands, tourists, and families who were coming to the Ute Pass area to rodeo, vacation, or work the summer trades. It led to some fun times, and Bronc Day became an annual day that people set aside to attend as part of their summer experience and family memories.
Festival Highlights

Over the years, the festivities have expanded to include bounce houses and inflatables, a stick pony rodeo, lots of vendors selling their wares, and fabulous food like fry bread, turkey legs, shaved ice, pulled pork sandwiches, and corn on the cob.
All this along with live entertainment including singing, Victorian dance lessons, costume contests, boat racing on the lake, rubber ducky races on the river, and much more. It truly is the friendliest day and the most fun event the whole family can enjoy! There is no admission fee.
