For more than 30 years, Denver’s Rocky Mountain Train Show has entertained the young at heart. This is the biggest model train show west of the Mississippi River, held annually in April at the National Western Complex.
Featuring more than 16 manufacturers, 60 vendors, and 30 operating layouts, including 3 large LEGO displays as well 3 acres of model and toy trains of all scales, there is definitely something for every train lover at this event.
This year’s event takes place Saturday and Sunday, April 5th to 6th, 2025 at the National Western Complex in Denver. All ages will have fun here, with both kids activities, as well as presentations and clinics.
For hobbyists, representatives from several train manufacturers will be on hand to show their newest products and answer your questions. Learn about control systems, signaling, tools, and electronics. More than 700 train sales tables in scales from Z to G.

The Junior Engineer program teaches children more about railroading using a find-and-learn format. Your child will have the opportunity to operate trains, ask questions, and earn a certificate of completion.
